6-5-20 100 deadliest days

The Wisconsin AAA fears an easing of COVID-19 restrictions could be setting up a perfect storm as the “100 Deadliest Days” begin for the nation’s teenagers.  In Wisconsin, 191 people were killed in crashes involving teen drivers in the past ten years during the 100 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  State AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says the combination of schools closed, activities curtailed, summer jobs canceled and COVID-19 restrictions being lifted, could prove deadly as teens take to the road this summer.  AAA encourages parents to talk with teens early and often about the dangers of speeding, impairment and distracted driving, and teach by example when you are behind the wheel.
