One person received minor injuries in a snowmobile crash on Lake Winnebago. It happened about 4:30pm Sunday about 50 yards from shore behind Sylvan Bay Road in the town of Calumet. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says a 19 year old Fond du Lac man was operating a snowmobile when it struck an ice shove. The operator, and a passenger, a 20 year old Hales Corners woman, were both tossed from the snowmobile. The passenger was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The Fond du Lac man was not injured. Both individuals were wearing helmets and protective clothing. Weather conditions are believed to be a factor in the crash. Speed and alcohol were not factors. No citations were issued.
