Bail has been set at $1 million cash for a Waupun man charged in the death of his grandmother. Gregory Spittel made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance Tuesday on 12 additional charges including first degree intentional homicide, first degree reckless injury, endangering safety, aggravated battery, and battery to an elderly person in the death of 75 year old Carol Foreman. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 2. Foreman died August 28 at ThedaCare Medal Center in Neenah, four days after she was found in the basement of her grandson’s home in Waupun with severe head injuries. Spittel is already charged with threatening a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
