A Fond du Lac County committee this fall will consider a request to allow all terrain vehicles to use the Wild Goose recreational trail during the winter. Fond du Lac County Parks director Sam Tobias says the request is being made by a local ATV club. Tobias says the question is whether ATVs would be compatible with people who like to walk and run on the trail when there isn’t any snow on the ground. “People like our trails because they get away from motorized traffic,” Tobias told WFDL news. “If we put motorized traffic on it during the winter with ATVs, or year-round ATVs, that’s going to cause another discussion to occur. So we’ll see where it goes.”
