Fond du Lac’s newest multi-purpose recreational trail is officially open to the public. Ribbon cutting ceremonies were held Tuesday afternoon for the Archer Thomas Olsen Trail, located in Lakeside Park West. The trail is a project of Leadership Fond du Lac’s Team Trailblazers. Team member Rhoda Hinz says the trail can be used for walking, running, snow shoeing and even cross country skiing. The trail was made possible by the Thomas and Christine Gross Fund on behalf of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation and named in memory of their grandson, who died a couple days after he was born earlier this month. The trail head is located on Howard Litscher Drive near the Fond du Lac Lakeside Park Dog Park.
