The 2019 Fond du Lac County Fair gets underway Wednesday. Fair Board president Katie Grinstead says its free to get into the fairgrounds and there’s a good deal on the carnival rides Wednesday. “The rides are a dollar. So all day you can come and rides are a dollar,” Grinstead told WFDL news. Grinstead says she is excited about this year’s grandstand music line-up starting Friday night. The Guess Who, Orleans and Rare Earth perform Friday night. Its country music at the grandstand on Saturday. Country music star Brett Young performs Saturday. Grinstead says don’t let the heat and humidity scare you away. “We’ve got the two air-conditioned buildings. The Expo Center has family bingo, and face painting. The Rec Building is air conditioned and that has all the 4-H exhibits.” Both buildings have been designated as cooling sites on the Fairgrounds. Bottled water can also be brought onto the Fairgrounds. The Fair runs through Sunday.
