It was a standing room only crowd in the community room at the Fond du Lac Police Department Monday afternoon to welcome a new officer to the force and recognize four officers who have received promotions. The ‘Pinning Ceremony” was held for newly appointed officer Joseph Kurer, assistant police chief Aaron Goldstein, lieutenant, Tyler Tikkanen, and new captains, Scott Kraus and Dave LeCaptain. Police chief Bill Lamb told the officers he’s proud of each of them for their accomplishments and told them they are the future of the department. “Today we’re celebrating a brand new officer earning his badge and four veterans earning new badges as they’re being promoted,” Lamb told the crowd. “The right of passage, these five individuals have accomplished something awesome, and today we make it official and celebrate it.”
