1-22-19 lost toddler reunited with mom in waupun

There was a happy ending after a Waupun toddler was found  on the front steps of a home where she didn’t belong.   Waupun police chief Scott Louden says police officers were called last week to a residence in the 200 block of North Madison Street.  Louden says the two year old child was transported by ambulance to the hospital for observation and police canvassed the neighborhood to try to find  out where she lived.   Louden says police were finally able to make contact with the mother after posting the child’s picture on social media.  “Three thousand shares later and about 30 minutes later we were able to identify the mother,”  Louden told WFDL news.  Louden says it turns out the child was a couple blocks from her home.  “Mom had been working and she had a babysitter watching her (child) and there was some miscommunication and she ended up wandering off.”
