8-10-18 walker-summer bus tour

Less than three months before the election Republican governor Scott Walker is back on the campaign trail traveling across the state by bus.  Walker says recent polls showing him trailing a leading Democratic challenger should be a wake-up call for Republicans.  “I think its going to be very, very competitive,”  Walker told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.  “I’ve said for almost a year that my concern was complacency.  The reality is that, largely because of things at the national level, there’s a huge amount of momentum on the other side.  Some call it a “Blue Wave” we’ll see if that happens here in Wisconsin.”   Walker  says the key in November will be turnout.  Walker says Republican policies have had a big impact on the state’s record low unemployment rate and generally strong economy.
