Construction on new security upgrades to the Fond du Lac city county government center are scheduled to begin this summer and completed by Labor Day. Fond du lac County Executive Al Buechel says an architect has been hired. “We’re getting to the point of actually completing that plan. The architect is making the construction documents for the security area and those will probably be available by the 20th of May,” Buechel told WFDL news. Buechel says the plan includes a security checkpoint at what will be the lone public entrance on the north side of the building. Buechel says once people clear the security checkpoint they will be free to move about the building.
