The Fond du lac Salvation Army is partnering with local organizations to pilot a practical skills class…focusing on the kitchen. Salvation Army Social Services director Ron Jacobson the program will help clients learn about budgeting and making easy and health meals. Jacobson says retired public health nurses, the MPTC Culinary program, Agnesian HealtCare and Festival Foods will deliver six two hours classes. Jacobson says community donations can also be made a Kohl’s Department store to purchase kitchen utensils for the clients. The program was made possible in part with a grant from U.S. Bank.
