Fond du Lac police are investigating a fatal alcohol-related vehicle vs pedestrian crash. Police say shortly after 1:30am Saturday a Fond du lac man was killed after being struck by a pick-up truck on South Park Avenue at East Second Street. The victim has been identified as 54 year old Jeffrey Koenigs. A preliminary investigation indicates that Koenigs was walking east bound on East 2nd Street and was in a cross walk proceeding across South Park Avenue, when he was struck by a 2004 Dodge Dakota Pickup truck that was traveling south bound on South Park Avenue. The driver of the pickup truck, a 51-year-old Fond du Lac man, was not injured and was arrested for homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and operating without a valid driver’s license.
