If you watched the Fond du Lac Labor Day parade last week you may have noticed a city garbage truck with a sign reading, “The stuff in here is the stuff in meth.” Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says the sign is designed to help draw people’s attention to the emerging problem of methamphetatime addiction. Klein says the sign points out that many of the dangerous chemicals used to make meth can be found in refuse inside a garbage truck. Klein says Hopper’s Silk Screening and All Star Trophy donated the sign. He says the police department is also working with the Department of Public Works and Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County in this Community awareness campaign.
