A Fond du Lac man was seriously injured in a two vehicle crash in Fond du Lac County. Sherifff’s Sergeant Ryan Zitlow says the crash between a garbage truck and mini-van happened early Wednesday morning on Highway D near Highway 151. Zitlow says the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Zitlow says a preliminary investigation shows no evidence that the minivan driver hit the brakes before impact. The driver of the minivan, 64 year old William Collins of Fond du Lac, was flown by helicopter to the hospital with what were described as critical injuries. The driver of the truck, 52 year old Gary DeJager of Waupun, was not injured.
