A retired Ripon College political science professor says the personnel shake-up in the White House is unprecedented. Strategist Steve Bannon last week became the latest top White House official to be shown the door. In seven months in office President Donald Trump has dismissed a national security adviser, chief of staff, two communications directors and a press secretary, among others. Political scientist Marty Farrell says it remains to be seen what the impact of Bannon’s departure is and the role of new chief of staff John Kelly. Farrell says he agrees with Republican Ohio governor John Kasich who says Trump needs to stop the staff chaos and “settle it down.”
