8-23-17 fdl republican senator says he’ll vote for foxconn bill

A Fond du Lac Republican state senator says he plans to vote in favor of an economic development package for Foxconn.  The state assembly voted in favor of the package last week and the state senate is expected to vote early next month.   State senator Dan Feyen says he believes the $3 billion incentives package is worth it.  “I would vote in favor of it if it came up today.  Unless something major changes I am a yes vote,”  Feyen told WFDL news.  Feyen says he believes Foxconn will follow through with a $10 billion investment that will create up to 13,000 jobs.  “I think its a great thing for this state.”  The Joint Finance committee held a public hearing on the bill Tuesday.  Foxconn has not announced where it plans to build the massive facility, but it is eyeing locations in Racine and Kenosha counties.
