The Fond du lac city council will consider revising an ordinance that would allow food trucks in city parks at their meeting Wednesday evening. Community Development Director Dyann Benson says two years ago the council voted to allow food trucks to operate with more flexibility in the city, but restricted food trucks in and near parks. The proposed revision would allow food trucks within parks at least 200 feet from an existing concession stand. “We think this is going to be a wonderful amenity for our park visitors and our residents,” Benson told WFDL news. “I think it will be a compliment to each other.” Benson says the hope is the new ordinance will attract more food trucks to the community.
