Boating traffic on the Fond du Lac River has resumed after an oil slick was discovered last week. Fond du lac Fire and Rescue says the hazmat situation has been cleared and boating activities on the river are back to normal. A boom was placed on the river near the Scott Street bridge to collect the oil. Investigators were not able to find a source, but say it appears the slick was a result of stormwater runoff following heavy rain.
