Seventh Street from South Main Street to South Park Avenue
Schedule:  May 2017 to September 2017    Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.  June 26th to June 30th: The utility contractor will continue installing storm sewer on Seventh Street from Marr Street to Main Street and then from Ellis Street to South Park Avenue.   Traffic Impacts: Seventh Street will be closed to through traffic.  It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. Parking is not permitted on the street during working hours.
North Military Road from West Follett Street to West Scott Street
Schedule:  May 2017 to September 2017  Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.   June 26th to June 30th: No work this week.    Traffic Impacts: Military Road remains open to traffic.
Fifth Street from South Marr Street to South Park Avenue
Schedule:  May 2017 to September 2017   Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.   June 26th to June 30th: Crews for AT&T will move the underground telephone to the north edge of the terrace between Ellis Street and Park Avenue, north side.  Traffic Impacts: Fifth Street remains open to traffic but maybe restricted as crew relocate utilities.
Ellis Street from Fourth Street to Eight Street (North Leg)
Schedule:  May 2017 to September 2017   Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.   June 26th to June 30th: As time and weather allows the utility contractor may install water laterals and possibly storm main on Ellis Street from 6th Street to 8th Street.   Traffic Impacts: Ellis Street will be closed to through traffic.  It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. Parking is not permitted on the street during working hours.
Brooke Street Bridge Closure
Description: The bridge deck will be milled and overlaid which requires the closure of the bridge to vehicle travel.    June 19th to June 23th:  The contractor poured the concrete deck last week and following the curing they will strip form work and cleanup the deck for installation of the joint seals and approach work.  The deck will also be sealed to protect the new deck surface.  This work will require up to seven day dry cure before the sealant can be applied.   Traffic Impacts: The Brooke Street Bridge between West Rees Street and West Division Street remains closed.
West Second Street Bridge
Description: The bridge deck will be milled and overlaid which requires the closure of the bridge to vehicle and pedestrian travel.    June 26th to June 30th: The West Second Street Bridge railings have been removed and will be refurbished before reinstallation.  Crews are performing deck repairs in preparation for pouring the week beginning 6-26.  Once the deck repairs are complete and poured there will be a seven day curing time before the railing installation and deck epoxy work can begin.    Traffic Impacts: The West Second Street Bridge remains closed to through traffic.
CTH VV (PIONEER RD) from Hickory Street to Rogersville Road
Schedule: April 2017 thru November 2017
Description: This project will include the reconstruction of CTH VV (Pioneer Road) from Hickory Street to Rogersville Road.  The signalized intersection at Pioneer Road and Military Road will be converted to a roundabout.  Work will include grading, water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, base aggregate, concrete pavement, curb and gutter, and sidewalk, traffic signals, signing, pavement marking, lighting and landscaping.
June 26th to June 30th: The contractor will continue grading and placing storm sewer along CTH VV (Pioneer Road) between Military Road and Hickory Street.  The contractor also plans to prep areas for asphalt and possibly start placing topsoil on Sullivan Drive.  The contractor also will continue pouring concrete pavement and also pour curb and gutter on CTH VV (Pioneer Road) west of Military Road.  Watermain will be placed across Military Road just north of CTH VV (Pioneer Road).  Underground lighting work will also be done at the intersection of CTH VV and Military Road
Traffic impacts: CTH VV (Pioneer Road from Hickory Street to Triangle Road and Military Road from the IH 41 off ramps to CTH VV (Pioneer Road) will be closed to thru traffic.  CTH VV (Pioneer Road) will have a signed detour via STH 23 (Johnson Street) to IH 41 to Hickory Street.  There will also be a signed detour for Military Road via IH 41 to Hickory Street.  Detour signage will be installed along IH 41 directing northbound Military Road traffic to the Hickory Street interchange, at which point traffic will follow the signed detour along Hickory Street.  Access through the construction site to Sullivan Drive and Rogersville Road may be limited at times.  Access to businesses will be maintained.  Military Road has one lane in each direction south of CTH VV (Pioneer Road). CTH VV (Pioneer Road) east of Military Road is reduced to one lane in each direction. Drivers should be aware of changing conditions and traffic patterns at the intersection of CTH VV (Pioneer Road) and Military Road.
