Police are looking for the driver of a car involved in a 12 and a half mile high speed chase on Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac County. Shortly before 2am Saturday a deputy from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle on 41 near Lost Arrow Road for a traffic violation. The suspect vehicle immediately increased to speeds above 100mph and was driving recklessly. Deputies continued to follow the vehicle northbound on 41 where the vehicle then exited on Winnebago Drive. The suspect vehicle then re-entered the Interstate and went southbound as the driver was throwing items out of the vehicle. Stop sticks were deployed near the overpass of Highway 23, slowing the suspect vehicle. The driver stopped the vehicle on the interstate between the Military and Hickory Road exits, fled on foot, and remains at large. The suspect was described as a black male, approx. 5’10-6’0 tall wearing blue jeans, a light colored shirt, and had a shaved head.
