4-24-17 state of air report

The American Lung Association’s annual State of the Air report shows Wisconsin’s air quality is improving.  Dona Wininsky with the American Lung Association in Wisconsin says when it comes to ozone, Fond du Lac County improved from an F grade last year to a B this year.  Wininsky says very hot temperatures in 2012 contributed to high ozone levels and in turn last year’s poor grade.  Wininsky says even short term spikes in particle pollution can be extremely dangerous and even lethal.  Meanwhile Wininsky says the Lung Association is concerned about the Trump administration’s proposed drastic funding cuts to the EPA.
