Schools, businesses, families and individuals have two opportunities to test their emergency plans during statewide tornado drills Thursday. A mock tornado watch will be issued at 1pm followed by a statewide mock warning at 1:45. A second mock tornado warning will be issued at 6:45pm to give families and second shift workers a chance to practice their emergency plans. Fond du Lac County Emergency Management director Bobbie Hicken says the concern is making sure that the public does not become complacent with few severe weather warnings issued in the last couple of years. Hicken says people who live in a mobile home need to have a plan when there is severe weather. She says if you are in a vehicle…do not exit the vehicle if there is an approaching tornado.
