4-19-17 kitchen sworn into office

A longtime high school social studies teacher and former Fond du Lac city councilmember has been appointed to the Fond du Lac County Board.  Tom Kitchen was sworn into office at Tuesday night’s county board meeting to represent District 18.  Kitchen has been active in the local Democratic party for several years, but says the job of a county supervisor is non partisan.  Kitchen taught government to high school students at St. Marys Springs Academy for over 35 years before retiring last May.  He replaces supervisor Paul Levandowski who died last month from a stroke.
