The Fond du Lac city council has approved a master plan for Lakeside Park. Public Works director Jordan Skiff says the plan, developed by Excel Engineering, includes a new pavilion to replace the existing pavilion, expanded concessions area and temporary summer pier north of Fisherman’s pier. Skiff says construction would begin after Labor Day 2019 and be completed in time for Walleye Weekend 2020. Skiff says other aspects of the master plan include a bridge connecting Lakeside Park to Lakeside Park West, boardwalks and viewing platforms to Supple Marsh, a splash pad and shelter repairs.
