Fond du Lac Public Works says a portion of South Hickory Street between Forest Avenue and Division Street will be closed this week. The street will be closed completely starting at 7:00 AM Monday and remain closed until the end of the day Tuesday. The southbound lane of traffic only, will reopen to traffic Wednesday, April 19th and reopen to full traffic at the end of the day Friday, April 21st. The closure will allow the water department to replace a water service leak. A signed detour will be marked and motorists are encouraged to travel Forest Avenue, Seymour Street, and Division Street, as a detour around this block.
