The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership was recognized for its outstanding downtown revitalization efforts at the 26th Wisconsin Main Street Awards ceremony this month in Wisconsin Rapids.  The DFP took top honors in three categories: Best Business Development/Retention Program, Best Retail Event, and Best Image Campaign.    Best Business Development/Retention Program was awarded to the Downtown Morning Marketing Meetups, an informal opportunity for downtown business and property owners to troubleshoot marketing concerns and ideas.   Best Retail Event was awarded to the Shop Small Raffle which captured data from the holiday shopping season and recorded sales from 33 different zip codes.  Best Image Campaign was awarded to the Downtown Fond du lac Farmers Market Poster Series with posters designed to recall the icons and colors used in the Farmers Market logo and featuring kitschy pun humor.  Amy Hansen, Executive Director of the DFP, was recognized for ten years of service to Fond du Lac’s downtown,  Katie Sperbeck received the Main Street Volunteer of the Year Award. Tom Deitte was recognized with the Main Street Honorary Board of Directors Award. Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership has been part of the Wisconsin Main Street Program since 2004.
