3-18-17 marian university academic symposium

Marian University will hold its annual Academic Symposium on March 28-29 in the Stayer Center.   The keynote presentation will be held on Tuesday, March 28 from 6:30 – 8:15 p.m. Dr. Mark Taylor will serve as the keynote speaker. His presentation will focus on “Teaching and learning in a digital age: Impacts on the goals and desired outcomes of learning and instructional practices.” Dr. Taylor is an internationally-recognized expert, writer, and speaker. Dr. Taylor will discuss the benefits, consequences, and implications for learning of technologies in the digital age and their impact on cognition, social, and working life.   In addition, the academic symposium will feature more than 30 workshop sessions throughout the day on Wednesday, March 29.
