The message for Fond du Lac County community leaders…don’t copy other communities…build your own identity. Fargo entrepreneur Greg Tehven was the keynote speaker at last week’s Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation annual meeting. FCEDC president Steve Jenkins says there are similarities between Fargo before its dynamic economic growth and Fond du Lac County today. “We will be doing an inter-city visit with some of our young professionals and entreprenuers to Fargo in the spring,” Jenkins told WFDL news. “…to witness and experience what’s going on there and bring that message back to our community.” Jenkins says its important for Fond du lac to chart its own course for the future. Meanwhile, UW FDL extension agent Diana Tscheslok and former Fond du Lac Community Development director Wayne Rollin received the annual and Lifetime Economic Development Achievement awards.
