MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The University of Wisconsin System’s net worth has increased. A system financial report released Monday shows the system finished the year that ended June 30 with $6.68 billion in net worth. Almost $4.4 billion of that is tied up in buildings and equipment. The system finished the previous fiscal year with $6.33 billion. System officials attributed the increase largely to unspent bond proceeds and new accounting guidelines that called for including the system’s share of the state’s pension fund.
