2-2-16 marquette poll

The latest Marquette University Law School poll shows Donald Trump still on top among Republican presidential candidates and  Hilary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in a virtual tie in Wisconsin.  Trump received 24-percent in the January poll, ahead of Marco Rubio at 18 percent and Ted Cruz at 16-percent.  Poll director Charles Franklin says those numbers could change before Wiconsin voters cast ballots in April because voting in earlier staes will affect the race.  The poll shows Democrat Russ Feingold continues to lead Republican incumbent Ron Johnson by double digits in the race for U.S. Senate.  But Franklin says the numbers show voters haven’t really started to focus yet on the race.  The poll shows Walker’s approval rating is still very low at just 38 percent.
